Bright Lights Of Shade
A Poem Exploring Inner Life
Setting fatigue, minds energy bleeds Blurry skies with sharpened clouds Such dulled wit in rescinding day I just can’t seem to get some rain
Tracking tomorrow some potential seeds Mounting light on my eyes so loud I fail to find resonance to say Plant that poem, that’s just hearsay
Such we write, delaying speeds Flower colors serrate their sounds Another slow day in time dismayed Sometimes it feels like we’re going so sane
Forgetting our many devastating deeds We speak in rhymes yet buried in mounds We pretend to know as we die this day We know nothing; we’re just bright lights of shade
