Among those of us who watch porn from time to time, I’m sure we all have our own search preferences. Each of us knows specifically what turns us on and gets the job done, and we can zero in on exactly that. Thank you, internet.

I figured the video would be along the lines of two men and one woman so I decided to give it a go. It started off like any other porn clip — pointless banter in an attempt to build a cheesy storyline that doesn’t matter. These two guys had just finished working out and were changing out of their gym clothes.
The moment I realized that no woman would be entering the scene was the moment when one of them commented on the other’s naked body. Normally, I would have clicked away and gone looking for something else but for some reason, this time I didn’t.
These two men were really tough-looking and spoke to each other in a manner that two black guys on a street corner in the Bronx might speak. Not at all the like stereotypical “gay men,” if that’s even a thing. If you’re gay and reading this, forgive me for dropping a stereotype bomb.
First, the two men established that they were both “looking to get it.” I found the approach hot because they were hot.
Then, one got on his knees and began giving the other man head and for some reason, I also found it hot which is strange because even when watching straight porn, I don’t particularly enjoy watching a woman give a man head. Especially not a dominant, rough man because he usually takes it to the extreme and starts thrusting and pushing the back of her head. It’s not a turn on for me.
Watching a man perform oral sex on another man should have been the point where I clicked away, but seeing one smooth-skinned black man do it to another intrigued me. It was different because they were different, and they were both sexy as hell.
If that wasn’t enough to make me turn it off, the next part should have been. But again, it wasn’t.

This porn clip, and many others that are now popping up on my suggestions to watch, really opened my eyes though. There’s an entire sub-genre of thug porn. They’re literally labeled that way on Redtube — thug threesomes, gay gangsters, etc. I had no idea.
So far, I’ve only clicked through to one other clip but didn’t stay on it long because yes, the three men were good looking, but they weren’t as masculine as in the first clip I watched.
I’m a little puzzled over the fact that I now seem to have a penchant for gay thug porn. The very fact that I just admitted I clicked away from a regular gay threesome because it wasn’t thuggish enough, is evidence of my preference.
I decided to do a little research into whether this was normal or even a thing among other straight women. As it turns out, I found information that supported what I mentioned earlier, about dominant males ramming their dicks into a woman’s throat.
Sexuality researcher, Lucy Neville reports that a surprising one-third of gay male porn views are by women. One quote in the article says,
“They (straight porn) are definitely objectifying women and not treating them like people. A lot of the time it seems like the women aren’t actually enjoying it.”
Neville interviewed and surveyed more than 500 women over five years for her research. Many of the women with whom she spoke said: “a lot of the problem they have with heterosexual porn is that they focus on the female body without paying enough attention to men.”
“Gay porn gives an opportunity to look at the male form and male beauty and the male face when orgasming,” Neville said.
After reading those two quotes it became more clear, especially in the case of the second quote. When I watch straight porn it focuses highly on the woman’s face at the height of her pleasure. Or on the woman’s body parts, which I don’t need to see.
It’s as if straight porn is designed solely for the man’s enjoyment.
By watching gay, black thug porn I get to look at exactly what I want to look at — a hot black body engaged in sex. I’m a very visual person. It’s the reason why I keep my eyes open and observing when I’m engaged in sex.
I’m sure this sub-genre won’t become my everyday go-to, but it’s sure nice to know I have options to fulfill my visual desires, even if it’s not in line with my sexual orientation.
