Watch out for Hedgehogs!
The spooky end of October …

Autumn-colour leaves surround a wonderfully mysterious door to Dog knows where …

Yep. It’s definitely autumn — above left is a wall covered with Virginia creeper which is a fab colour for a week or so in the autumn — but a blimmin’ nuisance the rest of the year.
Above middle — autumn door wreaths have gained a lot in popularity in the last couple of years. Lovely.
And, on the right above a shy skeleton peeks out from his rather inefficient hiding place. Awww …

PupperJack and I went off our beaten track the other day and walked a street we don’t usually walk — and discovered it to be Hedgehog Country! In the middle of the city. Cool.

The Halloween art installations are in full swing now, including above left, a socking great spider (the black bit — it’s not a great photo) lurking on its enormous spider web. When I first saw it I was trying to make the web bit into some kind of security feature to prevent theft of the car.
Then I saw the spider.
I do like the pumpkin in the middle above — the paler colour makes it really effective, I think.
And a witches’ hat tree. That’s original!

After much thought, PupperJack has decided he’s going to stay in tonight. All night. Probably in Susan’s bed. (He spooks easily.)

Yep. That’s the plan.

Ooh — things are getting spooky!
Happy Halloween to you all!
