Warren Buffet Eats Like Crap And Is Still Perfectly Healthy
This is crazy.

Warren Buffet loves Mc Donalds and Coca-Cola. That becomes obvious when you take a look at his holdings. However, he is not only a fan of the companies, which is why he holds their shares, but he also loves their products. So much so, that he consumes them every day.
Oreos for Breakfast: One thing that was surprising to learn about Warren is that he has basically stuck to eating what he liked when he was six years old. He did move past baby food, of course, but he mostly eats hamburgers, ice cream, and Coke. (That’s one reason it’s so fun to go out to dinner with him.) I remember one of the first times he stayed at our house and he opened up a package of Oreos to eat for breakfast. Our kids immediately demanded they have some too. He may set a poor example for young people, but it’s a diet that somehow works for him.
This is what Bill Gates once wrote in his blog about the famous investor Buffet.
How can he live so long with such an unhealthy lifestyle?
This question first popped into my head when I read about his diet. After all, Buffet is now no less than 91 years old. Any nutritionist would just shake his head in the face of this diet. In an interview, Buffet revealed that he has at least 5 12- ounce servings of coke daily, which means he consumes about 200 g of sugar every day. Only by drinking.
Buffet thus consumes about 700 calories a day in the form of sugar.
For comparison, here is the advice of the American Heart Association.
High intakes of dietary sugars in the setting of a worldwide pandemic of obesity and cardiovascular disease have heightened concerns about the adverse effects of excessive consumption of sugars. In 2001 to 2004, the usual intake of added sugars for Americans was 22.2 teaspoons per day (355 calories per day). Between 1970 and 2005, average annual availability of sugars/added sugars increased by 19%, which added 76 calories to Americans’ average daily energy intake.
In view of these considerations, the American Heart Association recommends reductions in the intake of added sugars. A prudent upper limit of intake is half of the discretionary calorie allowance, which for most American women is no more than 100 calories per day and for most American men is no more than 150 calories per day from added sugars.
Buffet consumes, then, more than twice as much sugar daily through beverages alone as the average American and nearly five times the recommended maximum amount.
Health risks of consuming high amounts of sugar
Given the following health risks of consuming a lot of sugar, it is truly amazing that Buffet is still enjoying good health at his age.
- Increased risk of heart disease
- Increased risk of type 2 diabetes
- Sugar might increase the risk of cancer
- A lot of sugar accelerates cellular aging
Furthermore, there are several other risks. Here you can find a good article on the subject.
…And those were just the risks of his sugar consumption. Not to mention his diet full of unhealthy fats.
How Buffet explains his good health.
The star investor said in interviews that his diet makes him happy. The fact that he is happy leads to him being healthy. I guess you can’t argue with that… However, such a diet can not be recommended to anyone. Even if it makes you happy.
I think that Buffet simply has extremely good genetic prerequisites to not get any problems due to his diet. Most people would probably get very sick after a certain time if they would only eat fast food and drink coke.
