Seasons of Your Creativity
A Vagabond Voices writing (and living) prompt…

Where are you now?
as this orb topples and shifts beneath our feet nothing stays the same. One minute, you are all youth and the grass is lifting up the fallen leaves to greet you, the next, all of this is sand and dust blowing at your body bent and praying for rain. I love to see you here, under the longest of nights, nestled against the cold from the heaviest blanket of stars, silent, renewed.
Tell us, what (creative) season are you in?
I believe in creative seasons. I live by them and write by them.
And so, wherever you are in the world, whether the days are growing short or long…
Whether the leaves are crumbling under your boots or your toes are skimming the sand…
Tell me what season you’re in — creatively speaking. Are you in need of some solitude, space, and rest? A return to your underground origins?
In the writing community I organize, I am nudging us gently from a season of the body, the self, and our internal rhythms to a season of connection. Connection to the earth, to the world…to Art, Culture, Inspiration…Humanity, History. These things that remind us in some ways about what it means to be human.
But…
We each have our own seasons.
Just as one of us might be slipping on warm socks with another is diving into cool water for a soothing swim.
So, whatever it is, wherever you are now. Tell us.
Literally…or not so much.
In poetry, prose, collage, images snapped or doodled…some new medium.
Wherever you are, I wish you well and I can’t wait to walk in your footsteps for a while.
