Do you feel tired, irritable, and unhappy? Do you find yourself struggling with negativity? Neuroplasticity and awareness can help you change.

The world around us tends to focus on negativity.

Reading the newspaper can make you depressed. Tragedies, disease, pandemics, and war sell. Social media could feed you with negativity. And perhaps you have people in your circle who drag you further down.

How to improve the situation?

Be aware of the danger around you and change what you can.

#1) Stay away from negativity

Limit news, unfollow distressing accounts on social media and take a step back from pessimistic people.

#2) Search for the positive

What you focus on will grow. If you actively search for the positive, that feeling will become stronger.

Try reading a good book, appreciate great coffee, take a walk in the beautiful nature and feel the life-giving sun warm your face.

Neuroplasticity could be defined as the brain’s ability to change and adapt as a result of experience. (1) Focusing on negativity has a self-reinforcing effect. If you shift focus to finding what’s positive, your brain will eventually do this as default.

Deviate from the apparent norm in society: ditch negativity and focus on gratitude and happiness.
