Easy Mindfulness Practice for Maintaining Mental Well-Being When Your Life Is Hectic
Try this approach to reduce stress and stay focused

Is your stress level too high?
When life becomes hectic, it could negatively affect health. When life is busy, and you don’t HAVE time, it’s essential to TAKE the time. Remember to prioritize time for relaxation.
Mindfulness is a great tool for taking care of mental and physical health. From one (of many) studies on the effect of mindfulness: “The results show that mindfulness meditation is associated with enhanced mindfulness and mental well-being, as well as decreased stress .”
Do you have a hectic life? Keep reading. I’ll show you my simple mindfulness practice, which helps me reduce stress and stay focused.
Simple mindfulness practice for stress-reduction
Find a lake or other quiet place. Sit comfortably and stay present. Let your senses do the work.
Here is my favorite place to find calm:

Look
Look around you. What do you see?

I watch the ripples in the water, and the clouds move. Do you see any trees? What colors are they?
Close your eyes.
Feel
Feel the sun shining on your face. The sun disappears behind a cloud, and it becomes colder. Raindrops are gently hitting the face. Is there a light breeze?
Peace of mind. Appreciate the day.
Smell
Inhale. What do you notice?
I smell the swamps and trees.
Listen
Listen to the birds having long conversations. Listen to the water moving. Hear the wind gently pushing the trees.
Notice the absence of disturbing sounds. Do you hear the silence?
Let your breath flow. Feel the presence.
Exist here and now. This little pocket of time is your time. There’s nothing else to do right now. Be grateful.
This simple mindfulness routine reduces stress levels and increases mental well-being. I need to prioritize time to practice presence through mindfulness to stay focused.
