unwavering
a poem on setting boundaries

unwavering in setting boundaries, which, to my greatest surprise (against my greatest skepticism) is the best skill I’ve ever learned.
most people are quite receptive to this communication of clear rules on what is or isn’t okay.
I’ve realized that the remaining tiny percentage of people who see boundaries as challenges to argue to overstep to manipulate into changing
they are … annoying to be euphemistic at best, but once boundaries are set and practiced
even this challenge mode (albeit frustrating) works wonders and is worthwhile.

Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) really finds strength in the title and first word of this poem — unwavering. Do you have a word like that?
