Scribble, Scribble

Poetry Prompt: mindfulness and colouring books

Photo by Hello I’m Nik 🎞 on Unsplash

in silence all you hear is the gentle scribble of pencil crayon on paper

that is how quiet it is

no: we are not in the kindergarten room (trust me, it would not be this quiet then)

we sit amongst a quiet jolly bunch just me, myself and I

giving myself the space to quietly revel and create a piece of gorgeous art

with almost little to no artistic pressure other than choosing my favourite colours to fill the spaces.

Tagging: Erivaldo Ricardo | Jac Gautreau | Francine Fallara | Agnes Louis | Caroline de Braganza if you’re up to it and anyone else interested in today’s prompt: visual mindfulness & colouring books.

Can’t wait to house some of these in The Brain is a Noodle! 🧠🍜

Lucy (The Eggcademic) [she/her] loves colouring books, and journalling in sketchbooks rather than ruled journals. Why would I want to be limited in how I drop my thoughts as words on paper? I’m a free soul and no amount of printed lines on a page is going to change that ❤ 🤣
