Summary

The web content describes a "choose your own" interactive story where the protagonist hands a figurine to an assassin seeking to escape their life of death, and is then presented with options to drink a potion and choose a path or bandage their legs without drinking the potion.

Abstract

The provided text is part of an interactive narrative titled "DRABBLE STORY ARC #1: UNTIL LUCK RUNS OUT," specifically a chapter called "Unusual Allies." It is a continuation of a series started by "Bradan Writes Stories" and invites readers to contribute to the storyline. The protagonist, in a moment of trust, gives a significant figurine to an assassin who expresses a desire to leave their violent lifestyle. The assassin acknowledges the protagonist's understanding of the desire to escape death and advises them to stay hidden, offering a potion and suggesting the use of magical portals. The reader is then prompted to choose one of three actions for the protagonist: drink the potion and hike up the mountain, drink the potion and explore the forest, or forgo the potion and bandage their legs. The story also includes a call to action for readers to participate in the narrative's progression and support the author through various means.

You hand the assassin the figurine, hoping you are not misplacing your trust… again.

The assassin sighs and holds the figurine up.

“With this, I can finally get out of this life. Thanks,” he says, “You probably can’t understand, but I’m fed up with all that death.”

His statement is so unexpected that you feel speechless.

“Believe me, I can,” you manage to say.

He nods and looks over his shoulder again.

“Stay hidden until we are gone. There are magical portals on the mountaintop and in the forest.”

The assassin throws you a small bottle.

“Drink this.”

You decide to…

  1. drink the potion and continue your hike up the mountain (click here).
  2. drink the potion and try your luck in the forest (click here).
  3. don’t drink the potion and bandage your legs (click here).
