Unlocking the Wonders of Sleep: Unveiling Psychedelic Chemicals Produced by Our Brains
Now I know why I like to sleep so much

Have you woke up in the mornings and were lucky enough to remember what you were dreaming? If you’re like me, you wondered, “Where in the Hell did that come from?” Or, have you ever wondered if “Near Death Experiences” are real? Scientists and Doctors have been searching for evidence.
We’re tripping while we sleep, that’s cool
DMT is a chemical that occurs in plants and the brains of humans and animals. It is also manufactured in laboratories. It’s a powerful Hallucinogenic. DMT is illegal in the United States.
DMT is illegal, but we don’t have to worry about that, because DMT occurs naturally in our brains. Scientists don’t understand why. They posit that DMT produced by our brains might explain near-death experiences. DMT in our brains would also explain the vivid dreams we have.
Scientists don’t know why our brains produce it
Scientists don’t know why our brains have this chemical. Perhaps it’s there to make sure we dream. Dreams are necessary. Dreams help us process information and assist in memory. A Near Death Experience is an intense event. The experience might be a last-gasp defense mechanism by a dying brain.
Dreams inspire creativity. I kept a dream journal for years. I thought that by doing that it would help my writing. The harder I tried to remember them, the more elusive they became. I gave up the dream journal.
I found that I don’t need to remember my dreams to be creative
The interesting thing is, that I will wake up knowing I had a vivid dream, but the dream would be gone soon after I sit up. The weird thing is, I will always have a good day of writing the day following the dream.
Scientists know our brains produce this chemical, but they are not sure why. It’s a good thing they haven’t found out. The less we know about this chemical the better. We all know that once it’s understood there will be a government or corporation that will be eager to exploit it.
Don’t worry, just enjoy the trip
For now, let’s enjoy our dreams while we can. Life is hard, and sometimes reality sucks. All the more reason to appreciate any escape from reality we can find.
Final Thought:
The human mind is fascinating. There are parts of our brains that scientists have no clue what their purpose is. They learn and understand more every day. It makes a person wonder what the future holds. Will understanding our brain chemistry be a good thing or a bad thing?
