Text-to-image

OpenAI DALL-E amused the world showing that AI can generate images by text. In short, you can provide a text prompt to the AI model and it produces the image in the style you prefer. Since then Stable Diffusion took the scene and now there are many applications based on it. Here I present a list of services where you can generate images from text. Check Jim Clyde Monge for tutorials on how to run the stable diffusion on your personal computer.

DALL-E is the first model that showed how to generate images by text. Nowadays, you can use also it to variate and edit images. You own the commercial right, you can receive free credits to try, and then you use credit for each image generated or edited (15$ for 15 credits).

starry.ai is a free service that allows you to create artwork. The service grants you ownership.

crayon is a free service to generate images from the text (although not the best to generate larger images)

NightCafe is a service allowing you to generate images (allows some customization as different styles and resolutions. The free generations are limited then you need to subscribe.

Artbreeder is a service allowing you to generate images, create collages and manipulate the images. You can do some free trials but then requires a subscription.

wombo.ai is a free service allowing you to create images in different styles (around 40 different possibilities).

MidJourney is a service allowing you to generate images through the Discord server (allows customization). They provide some free images to test, but then you have to choose a subscription plan.

Text-to-video

The field is moving quickly, before you could just obtain an image from a text prompt, now different models and services allow you to generate video from the text. Moreover, AI can also help to edit your video, speeding up the process.

Synthesia is a service allowing you to generate video from text, allowing customization and services in more than 60 languages (the service is free but if you want to customize you need to pay a monthly subscription).

Lumen5 is a tool to create videos based on presentations, allowing you also some customization (free but the resolution is limited, otherwise monthly subscription).

Flixclip is an AI tool to support video creation (editing, adding files and translation, and background modification). You can do 12 projects for free, then you have to subscribe.

Elai is a text-to-video tool that allows you to transform a blog post into a video.

Veed.io is a video generator allowing also editing (background emotion, adding translations, and so on). It is free for up to 250 MB upload, otherwise a monthly subscription

Design generators

Generative AI is not limited to image and video but can help in all aspects of the creative process. Whether you need to find the right palette for your website or whether you need to create the website from scratch, you have an AI helping you.

Khroma is a free service that allows you to create your personalized palette.

Uizard is a service where you draw a sketch and it helps you to create the design for websites, mobile applications, and landing pages. Three projects for free and then a monthly plan.

Colormind is another free tool allowing you to create your personalized palette

Designs.ai is a service to generate logos and banners. The service provides you with templates, editing, and customization (30-day free trials and then a 29$ monthly fee).

Fronty AI is a tool to create websites, it is optimized for mobile devices and SEO indexing (limited free services but you can upgrade to a month pro package).

Text-to-audio

Text-to-audio AI generation is a technology that uses natural language processing and machine learning algorithms to convert written text into spoken words. This technology has a wide range of applications, including making written content more accessible for individuals with visual impairments, creating audio versions of books and articles, and enabling virtual assistants and chatbots to speak with a natural-sounding voice.

Replica is a service to convert text to speech (you can choose different AI-generated voices). The service is free for up to 30 minutes, then you pay per use

Speechify is another text-to-speech service that also offers editing possibilities (free for a limited amount of generated speech, then a monthly subscription).

Murf is another text-to-speech service allowing you to generate different voices and edit them (you can select contexts, variate the speed, and so on). You own the commercial rights (free for a limited amount of generated speech, then a monthly subscription).

Play.ht is another text-to-speech service allowing you to generate different voices (in more than 100 languages). free for a limited amount of generated speech, then a monthly subscription

Lovo.ai is another text-to-speech service allowing you to generate different voices and edit them (emotions and so on). free for a limited amount of downloads, then a monthly subscription

Music generator

Music AI generation is a technology that uses machine learning algorithms to create original music. Moreover, many of these services are focusing on generating music that is royalty-free.

AIVA is a service to generate music in different styles. You own the copyright of the generated content (limited generation for free, monthly subscription for more)

Amper AI is another service to generate music in different genres (you can select instruments, play with lengths, and other parameters). You own the copyright of the generated content only in the paid version.

Jukebox is another service to generate music in different genres (you can also generate lyrics). You own the copyright of the generated content only in the paid version. You need to contact the vendor for a free or paid license.

Soundraw is another service to generate music in different genres (you have a free trial but then a monthly subscription).

Evoke is another service to generate music in different genres (you have a 14-days free trial but then a monthly subscription).

GPT3 has stormed the content writing world and amassed a cloud over its future. AI writing models can generate articles in seconds. Fear not them, they are taking your job but at the moment are just your assistant.

Jasper is a text assistant to write blog posts and more, it offers also templates and collaborations and it is available in 20 languages. You have a free trial (5 days) and then a monthly subscription.

Copy.ai is a text assistant to write blog posts and more, it offers also templates and collaborations and it is available in 25 languages. You have a free trial (2 words000) and then a monthly subscription (40k/month for the pro version).

ChatGPT is a chatbot (use GPT 3.5 as an engine) that can be used to write code, blog post,s and articles. Free at the moment, but probably soon pay per use.

Coding generator

GitHub Copilot is facing a lawsuit by the programmers. While coding assistants are not substituting data scientists and programmers in the near future, they can help in completing the code and finding errors.

Tabnine is a code assistant that provides code completion (it learns also the user code patterns). You have a free trial (14 days) and then a monthly subscription.

K-Explorer is a code assistant that provides code completion (it also provides suggestions). You need to contact the vendor for a free or paid license.

PyCharm is a code assistant that provides code completion, code correction, and automated refactoring. There is a free version and a monthly professional version.

Kite is a code assistant that provides code completion, it also provides suggestions and is available in different languages. It is free.

OpenAI Codex is a code assistant that translates natural language into code. You need to contact the vendor for a free or paid license.

GitHub Copilot is a code assistant that provides code completion, it also provides suggestions. It is VS code extension and you need a monthly subscription
