Part 2: A Poem In The Series “Unemployed, Oh No!”

Broken Glass — A reflection. Photo source: Photo by Ismael Sanchez from Pexels.

Unemployed, oh no! a telephone call and impromptu meeting shattered my career dreams in a silent blaze.

the deepest darkest despair engulfed me horrendously-hurricane like sweeping-swirling one up into nothingness begging, shrilly-shouting into the universe Oh, no! Please? Pretty, pretty please — Not unemployed!

The whole house that I was, standing steadfast in life storms, so I thought, carefully build brick-by-brick and gluey mortar shattered suddenly, silently like vulnerable glass

disconnected, from rattling reality a roller coaster ride of emotions! head stuck ostrich-like hiding in the glowing golden sand

smiling reassuringly at the world, rapidly falling apart inside my little withdrawn-from-the-world hole.

You see, it's simple, very simple…. That lurking ‘Thing’, which, can’t be seen or heard — will not harm me, while I slowly slide into the dreary-demoralizing pit that is called depression!

Broken Shattered Depressed!

A whirlpool of emotions Dragging you slowly down deeper and deeper — Unemployed, oh no!
