So many Indian CEOs! Twitter too! Wow!

Twitter is embarking on a new journey. Indians are exceptionally happy and excited that the new CEO Parag Agrawal is an Indian. This they feel is a bonus point.👍

Indians are proud of Satya Nadela of Microsoft, Sundar Pichai of Alphabet, Shantanu Narayen of Adobe, and Krishna of IBM. All are leading the companies and are of Indian origin.

What do they all have in common? They are technologists, selected from a talent pool and not CEOs because of family lineage.

Introducing the new CEO Parag Agrawal

Parag Agrawal is from one of the ordinary schools of India! Nothing great! A Central School is initiated by the central government in India for educating the children of government employees.

The same guy rose to pass the most difficult entrance tests of the premium college, The Indian Institute of Technology. where he received his engineering degree in 2005.

He then went on to do his Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University. He joined Twitter in2011 and he received the title of ‘Distinguished Engineer’

Something to say wow! I admire the guy!. Felicitations to the new CEO of Twitter ✌

New plans and new journey for Twitter

Agrawal has new plans for Twitter’s forward journey.🌸🌈

#1. Content moderation: Agrawal has been concerned about the harm that arose due to some tweets that were considered misleading and violent by former US President Donald Trump. He considers content moderation as a major challenge.

In an interview with MIIT Technology Review, he said

“We focus way more on the potential for harm as a result of certain content being amplified on the platform without appropriate context. And context is often just additional conversation that provides a different point of view on a topic so that people can see the breadth of the conversation on our platform and outside and make their own determinations in a world where we’re all learning together,” Agrawal

Twitter’s role is to build a healthy place for online conversation, this does not mean that people should be allowed to speak whatever they want “Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment, but our role is to serve a healthy public conversation,” Aggrawal

Blue Sky Project: Agrawal will take forward Twitter’s Bluesky project, a decentralized social media protocol, Bitcoin-based tips, and NFT-based profile pictures, too as he was in talks with the previous CEO to explore decentralization. These systems will handle key social network elements like discoverability, moderation, and privacy.

The objective is to create technology and protocols to post the media in one set of media workable and readable in all other social media networks.

Political brush: Everyone is aware of the political brush of Twitter with the Indian government.

One of Agarwal’s plans is to move out quickly from the political mess in India and other countries and have better management practices.

Recently the Indian government and Twitter had a bitter standoff because Twitter did not ban tweets and accounts that were related to farmers’ protests. The Indian government was also accused because it was not complying with its new rules for social media intermediaries and threatened legal action too.

Speed in Growth: One of the challenges for Aggrawal is to contend with the speed of growth in its daily user figures and rolling out products. He plans to work on streamlining ongoing issues of user growth ad products coupled with recent privacy changes, and great speed in the growth of social networks like Snapchat.

The takeaways

The ongoing journey of Twitter is challenging but not impossible for the new CEO

#1.Twitter Facing Challenges: Parag Aggrawal is not afraid of challenges for Twitter. He is ready to work on these challenges. He started in an ordinary school but crossed so many hurdles and became the most trusted person to be handed over the reins of Twitter by the previous CEO Jack Dorsey and other members of the team.

Twitter will navigate to new directions under his leadership and it looks like a timely change.

#2. New features and products: Everyone and everything has a time for a change. It is in the order of time and things that a change is necessary for Twitter to bring in dynamism, movement, and positive changes to make it grow, and the negative images created are moved away by trying to create a new slate.

To conclude

The new CEO Parag Agrawal has many dreams and his vision is clear to take Twitter to the top and remove any blemishes of the past.

This is the new journey of Twitter where we will see many new changes and hopefully they will all be full of positivity.

I would like to give a shout-out to Sahil Patel who also has dreams to become big. He is successfully running his publications and his dreams are coming into a reality as he now becomes a top writer for inspiration with his earlier badge in poetry. Congratulations! May your passionate dreams turn into a reality.

I also wish that you read an article about Tamil learning her love language with her husband. This can be expanded to learning the love language of people we deal with every day to live in a more peaceful world with better relationships in life.

In the end, I would like to insert my (previous) social media article about changes in the name of Facebook which is now called Meta
