Turning Pages
Libraries are labyrinths of pages
Turning pages plunges us into the infinite world of books where ideas levitate and gravitate in and out of our lives — where the power of knowledge lies in the diving, delving, and devouring books.
Turning pages tethers us to immortality giving our solitude the elegant hope that Borges felt cheered as the eternal traveler on life’s paths where passengers pass by uplifted and enlightened by the power of reading thousands of pages.
Turning pages inside and outside of a library brings us closer to God with the infinite knowledge that makes us imperfect intelligent beings finding hope and humility in the number of books turning page after page, after page…
Many thanks for the poetry prompt, Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她)
The Library of Babel by Jorge Luis Borges was my inspiration for this poem.
