#PoetryPrompt: There is power in numbers — what will you do with this power?
What Would You Do With This Power?
a poem and a reflection

Fostering a community has been the strength of my writing career; for in others’ writing and their writing journey I have learned so much.
A select few writers have become even closer friends based on common interests and common goals, and that has been beautiful.
But I am just as careful of a rising phenomenon of parasocial relationships, particularly rising with influencers and creators, who use connection to manipulate their audience, because unwavering loyalty is profitable, and this is the underlying reason why accountability has been so damaged a mechanism.
Of this all, is the simple lesson that there is strength in numbers, with a reflective question: what will you do with this power?
