Leaving Lonesmasher to go his own way, you and R’yonix take the descending tunnel. You don’t much like the idea of going even deeper, but the lizardwoman seems to know where she’s going.

There are screams far behind you; seems that either Lonesmasher or the goblins encountered something dangerous!

R’yonix grabs your hand. Hers feels strange, being scaly, but you’re comforted. “I’ve been this way once before,” she says. We can come out near the lake.

“And then?”

“I dunno, friend… Find a quest? Get rich and famous?”

You smile, then laugh out loud for the first time in ages.
