Putting on a brave face but under the surface I am worse than I assumed.

Scared I might find the breaking point as I bend the truth. Pretending I am not full of failures and all the frustration attached to them.

I wish I had better cards to show. While I got stuck in your beautiful ways.

The disappointing truth attached caution onto your voice, and another failed endeavor is hidden under my scars. I tried to hold myself together while I fell apart in front of you. I remain, struggling to put myself out of misery. I doubt a different direction would have offered a different ending.

Only sour to harsher apologetic departer would have come for me, as the stunning sunsets only save themselves for you.
