The Longest Hours

We’re waiting to admit that I was wrong — A love poem

Photo by Vino Li on Unsplash

I would cut out my tongue to take my words back again. As somebody’s sympathy has run dry today. While I do not feel myself again. I know I am better than I used to be. Is the rest of the distance too far for me? Can she come out of the light and be in the darkness with me? Throughout my longest hours, I have wished for tomorrow to abandon me. Throughout adversity, she would forsake her joy to save me from misery.

She is the best person I will ever know. If she were real, I would never let her go.
