Trump & Lindell — Again
Trump’s “One Word” Pressure Campaign to Raise Money From MyPillow Guy Mike Lindell
“Don’t make me do this Mike, you know that I will,” Trump told Lindell
MyPillow Guy Mike Lindell was having a hard time during a deposition with a former Dominion Voting Systems executive who filed a federal defamation lawsuit against Lindell and his pillow company for accusing him of rigging the 2020 presidential election.
At one point Lindell had a melt down when he was shown a customer complaint describing a MyPillow product as “lumpy.” Lindell exploded.
“No, they’re not lumpy pillows … when you say lumpy pillows, now you’re an asshole! You got that? You’re an asshole is what you are!” he bellowed. “Lumpy pillows? Kiss my ass.”
Apparently Trump was notified about the outburst, and wasted no time calling Lindell.
“Mike, buddy,” Trump was overheard saying. “Heard you had a rough time in court today. “Sorry to hear that.”
Lindell must have launched into his troubles, when Trump cut him off.
“Yes, yes, I know,” Trump told him. “Things are tough all over. You should see my mounting legal bills — I have so many court cases, so many lawyers to feed.”
Again Trump listened for a short time, and then jumped back in.
“Yes, yes, I understand. But, say, Mike, I was wondering . . . I could use a little help here . . . On the money end. I was thinking maybe you could . . . Yes . . . I understand the position you’re in . . . But really . . . If you could just send . . .”
Trump listened again, even longer this time, before he took over the conversation:
“OK Mike. Here’s how it is. I’m going to tell you this only once. If you don’t start contributing to my campaign, and I mean right away, I’m going to put it out on Truth Social that I think your pillows have been hyped way too much.”
“I’m going to say I think your pillows are lumpy, Mike. L U M P Y — in big bold letters. Don’t make me do this Mike, you know that I will.”
Trump only said one more thing to Lindell before he ended the call. “Thanks, Mike, I knew you’d understand.”
But then he was heard musing to himself more than anyone else —
“You’ve just got to know how to hit them where it hurts . . . you know . . . you’ve just got to know how to hit them where it hurts.”
Just think — at one point Lindell thought he and Trump were tight —
