Summary

The article critically examines President Trump's Twitter activity, highlighting his limited mention of the coronavirus and his frequent complaints about perceived injustices, suggesting a tendency to avoid responsibility for national crises.

Abstract

The article delves into an analysis of President Trump's recent tweets, revealing that out of 500 tweets, he directly mentioned the coronavirus only twice, both times to blame China. The author, having found a way to bypass reading Trump's tweets directly, used tweet search engines to uncover the frequency of Trump's complaints of unfairness, finding occurrences of over 800 to 1100 times in recent archives. The piece also references Trump's self-victimization narrative in the face of national crises, as reported by the Washington Post, and concludes with a countdown to the election day, hinting at the author's anticipation of its arrival.

Opinions

  • The author implies that President Trump is negligent in addressing the coronavirus pandemic on his social media platform.
  • Trump is portrayed as deflecting blame onto China rather than focusing on the U.S. response to the pandemic.
  • There is a clear suggestion that Trump's tweets are characterized by frequent and repetitive complaints of unfairness, indicating a "whiner-in-chief" attitude.
  • The author conveys a sense of relief or optimism about the approaching election day, possibly viewing it as an end or a solution to the current presidential rhetoric on social media.
  • By citing the Washington Post, the author aligns with the perspective that Trump sees himself as a blameless victim amidst national issues rather than a leader responsible for addressing them.

Trump: Whiner-In-Chief

UNFAIR!!!!!

In this article . . .

. . . I went through President Trump’s 500 most recent tweets to see how often he even mentioned coronavirus. Twice. Twice out of 500 tweets. And those were just to blame China for the “China Virus”. (There were 4 others where he retweeted himself with some sort of incomprehensible Trumpian word salad about testing.)

This time I figured out a way (duh!) to find out what Trump was tweeting without having to endure the actual reading of this lunatic’s depraved tweets.

Tweet search engines! (The wonders of the internets!).

This time I wanted to find out how often Trump baby-whined about whatever-it-was-to- whine-about-that-day that was . . . UNFAIR!!

One archive showed Trump whining “UNFAIR!!” over 800 times recently. The other over 1100 times.

Trump often launches into a monologue placing himself at the center of the nation’s turmoil. The president has cast himself in the starring role of the blameless victim — of a deadly pandemic, of a stalled economy, of deep-seated racial unrest, all of which happened to him rather than the country — Washington Post.

The good news? As of this writing: 110 days, 10 hours, 44 minutes, and 7 seconds until election day.
