Tribute to ‘brilliant’ Friends TV comedy star: Matthew Perry🕊
I’ll Be There for You

“Friends” star Matthew Perry was found dead Saturday in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home, law enforcement sources said. He was 54.
Friends was a television series that ran from 1994 to 2004 and featured the lives of six teenage friends who lived in New York City. With 52.5 million viewers in the US, its climactic episode became the most watched TV show of the Actor Viola Davies, musician Adele, and former classmate Justin Trudeau were among those who paid tribute to the actor, who battled addiction and strove to support others facing comparable struggles. First responders were dispatched to his residence over a “water emergency,” according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles fire department. Although an inquiry has been launched, the official cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
“We are devastated by the passing of our dear friend Matthew Perry,” -Warner Bros.
“Matthew was an incredibly gifted actor and an indelible part of the Warner Bros. Television Group family. The impact of his comedic genius was felt around the world, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of so many. This is a heartbreaking day, and we send our love to his family, his loved ones, and all of his devoted fans.” — Television Group
“We are incredibly saddened by the too soon passing of Matthew Perry,” NBC
“shocking and saddening”. “I’ll never forget the schoolyard games we used to play, and I know people around the world are never going to forget the joy he brought them, Thanks for all the laughs, Matthew. You were loved — and you will be missed.” Justin Trudeau
“He’s probably the best comedic character of all time, He was so open with his struggles with addiction and sobriety, which I think is incredibly, incredibly brave.”- Adele
Perry received five Emmy nominations: two for his work on The West Wing as attorney Joe Quincy and one for Friends.
Perry acted in movies such as Fools Rush In, starring Salma Hayek, Three to Tango, starring Neve Campbell, and The Whole Nine Yards, starring Bruce Willis, while he was on Friends. He also had a few brief roles in Scrubs and Ally McBeal. His final significant TV project — other than the Friends reunion — was a TV reboot of The Odd Couple, which lasted on American screens for three seasons
Following his near-death encounter in 2018, Perry has sought comfort from friends, regular pickleball matches, and writing above all else. He had to revisit his darkest times in order to produce “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” but it also let him relate to “all the sufferers out there”: He wrote, “I had a story to share, a story that could really help people.” “And I realized that the solution was to help others.” Despite his achievements as an actor and, more recently, a best-selling memoirist, Perry stated in an April interview with The Times that his job was not the focal point of his intended legacy.
“As a guy who lived life, loved well, lived well and helped people,”
he replied when asked how he wanted to be remembered. That encountering me happened for the better rather than the worse.
For all the fans, Here are some of the most memorable quotes delivered by Matthew Perry in his iconic role as Chandler Bing on the TV show Friends:

2. “Could I BE any more…?”
3. “You have to stop the Q-tip when there’s resistance!” Joey: “You don’t tell me how to use a Q-tip. It’s like, my one skill.”
4. “I’m not so good with the advice. Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?”
