Tragic

A Poem

Photo by Timothy Paul Smith on Unsplash

You can look and see where the trauma hit — bam! Just watch, watch me watching families hug,

watch me watching dads and daughters, watch me watching sisters be close and laugh,

this stuff is not invisible, it is not for pity or for drama it is tragedy, it is tragic, yes

because nothing seems to close this wound as every day happens, I walk out, I see things that did not get to

be for me, and that are not for me now, won’t ever be for me, and I keep going, I keep going, I keep going

a walking tragedy, a strong woman we might just be the same damn thing.
