(Why Not Use Them All?)

Repurposing your content is really a no-brainer when you stop to think about it. And just to make sure it’s a no-brainer for you, here are the top 7 advantages and benefits of repurposing your content.

The Top 7 Benefits of Repurposing Your Content

Repurposing Advantage #1

Work Smarter Instead of Harder — Don’t you hate it when someone throws a cliche like that at you and then doesn’t tell you how to do it? Yeah, me too.

That’s why I’ll never use a cliche like that without backing it up with the how. Simply stated, repurposing is the how. When you repurpose your content, you are taking something that you worked to create and using it multiple times in multiple places.

And that, my friends, is working smarter instead of harder. (Spoken like Horatio Caine in CSI:Miami)

Repurposing Advantage #2

You Don’t Have to Re-Invent the Wheel — So many marketers re-invent the wheel each time they sit down to create a new piece of content for their blog, a Facebook update, etc. With repurposing your don’t have to do that ever again. You can use one piece of content, or a piece of a piece, in multiple ways online and offline.

Repurposing Advantage #3

Work Once and… — Get paid, get paid, get paid, get paid, and get paid some more exponentially. The work model that most of the world slaves under is “work once, get paid, work once, get paid, work once, get paid, work once, get paid,” for the rest of your life. I first learned this from my online mentor and now friend Tom Antion

With repurposing, you do the original work once, and then leverage that content into not just one, but multiple information products and resources.

Repurposing Advantage #4

Selling Your Info in Multiple Ways — Related to #3, you are able to sell your info, the same info, in many different versions.

‘How so?’ you ask. Well, there can be a version in text, a version in audio, and a version in video. Or in any combination of the three.

Repurposing Advantage #5

Increase Your Reach — In any niche, whoever has the greatest reach is the most likely to win. When you repurpose, you increase your reach by getting your content and information in many more places. You wind up being found all over your niche.

Repurposing Advantage #6

Social Media Content — So many people ask me, “But what do I say on Facebook, Instagram, etc?” With repurposing you never have to ask that question or struggle with that challenge again. Once you have created your content, you simply use it, or pieces of it, on the Social Media sites.

Repurposing Advantage #7

Hyper-Sanity — We are all familiar with the common definition of insanity, right? You know the one:

“Insanity is when you keep doing the same things over and over again, that don’t work, and expecting different results.”

Repurpsosing gives you hyper-sanity:

“Using the same content over and over again and getting extraordinary results.”

Bonus Tip -Repurposing allows you to be a content creation machine. In just a little while, you can have more content than you know what to do with, which is a good problem to have.
