To the Unwritten Chapters
Something short and sweet

This month has been a little overwhelming, okay, it’s been pretty rough at home, dealing with my toddler’s sleep regression and separation anxiety. If you know, you know.
To be honest, it’s made me lose my shit a little bit, not with him but in general. And my fiancé and I not getting enough sleep really takes a toll on our mental health. It’s no joke, and it affects our relationship as a whole.
The last thing I want to do is take out my frustration on either of them. We’re supposed to be a team, and some days it doesn’t feel that way.
Whoever came up with the hashtag #TeamNoSleep as a humorous expression is an idiot.
Let’s just say we’ve seen better days. To the parents here on Medium, I know I’m not alone when I say that. As cliché as it may sound, this too shall pass, and man, I can’t wait for it to pass. ASAP!
To the unwritten chapters that lie ahead, I am uncertain of what the future holds, but I’m trying my best here to live as present as possible — in the moment...

Soaking up the quiet mornings, each one a reminder that, no matter what I’m going through in life, there’s always a fresh start, a new page with new stories and memories to fill.

Meeting God first thing, talking to Him, thanking Him, and also letting Him in on every last thing, I find strength and guidance for the day ahead when I practice this. His presence fills me with peace and reassurance, reminding me that I am not alone.

Being specific with my goals, big and small, on a daily, weekly, monthly, and even yearly basis, I strive for clarity and direction.
It’s not always easy, but awareness is important. It’s the first step toward growth and understanding.
To the unwritten chapters that lie ahead, we’re always at the starting line.
This is my reminder, and hopefully yours too, that this year, we’re not just going through the motions; we’re watching for sparks to ignite in all that we set our minds to, whether that’s on a personal level, at home, or at work.
Despite the challenges, there’s always room for transformation.
By staying present, setting clear goals, and relying on our faith, we can find the strength to overcome obstacles and start anew.
