Tiredness

A poem about tiredness

Photo by Edwin Andrade on Unsplash

Spindling lethargy

My eyelids droop

Feeling the pinch

As

Lacking energy

A force

A feeling

Of weakness

A time

For bleakness.

As we work tirelessly

Or feel low in health

From a stinking

Chilly, wintry, bitter,

Fatigue

We collapse

With exhaustion

Into a weariness

We cannot mend.

Spinning headaches

Forces of the unknown

Pushes us

To live with

Tiredness

Depression

A stress

Unlike no other

We have

Ever known.

When will it end?

When will it leave?

Our weary bodies

Forced away

Into a ruthless

Descent

A fear

An eerie stem

From somewhere

We cannot comprehend.

Until all is right

And bright

Once again

We sleep

Through

The hours

And the time

Until

The past,

Our history,

Is in the future

Helping us

To snooze

To zizz, kip, doze,

And nap

To a futile

Desperate end.
