Grandchildren
A poem about seeing your grandchildren again

A grandchild Comes along Enters a grandparent’s Joy Changing our life, Our outcome Our time Our happiness Our health Because now We have something To fulfill Our days For a future No longer bleak Or in decay.
We watch them Grow Laugh Play As love unfolds Like no other Time before When sons Or daughters Brought us A natural Familiarity.
A grandson Or granddaughter May satisfy our days Bringing A completeness Giving us Hope A future To work upon As the years Move on.
Alas, When more Grandchildren Arrive They enter Our lives As Extensional, amplifying, deepening Of Love Empowers our beings In ways We cannot Explain Because we Cannot demonstrate The love We enjoy Until you too Cherish A little life With a cuddle Or two.
Grandchildren Give us Their smiles Their laughs Giggles enlight Playful bodies Enjoyment ensues Bringing us Exquisite feelings Cuddles to endure A joyous time Like nothing You will ever Experience Or devour.
Grandchildren Give us Interminable youth So we realize How much We need to live A healthier life, To create Our time left Enjoying, loving, spoiling, Diminishing the years We fear Will end Until a grandchild Is born Bringing us Newfound joy We cannot ignore.
