Tips and Reminders From the Full Frame Team
A few items to review before sending us your submissions

I’m both humbled and overjoyed to be a part of the editing team of Rodrigo S-C, Duvy McGirr and Gareth Willey at Full Frame. I’ve only been here a short time and I’m loving the chance to have early eyes on all the submissions we receive. I’m an admirer of great photography and enjoy reading the stories connected to the images.
As a team, we’re excited to see the steady growth of this publication. We’re grateful for all the submissions we receive and appreciate our band of faithful followers and readers.
As Full Frame’s reach and readership expand, we’d like to share a few helpful tips and reminders.
Be sure to credit all your photos.
A title for the photo may be added as well, but the image must state who took the photo even if it was you. This is not just our rule, but also one that complies with Medium’s distribution standards.
Check your stories for grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
We’re happy to catch and correct small edits, but if your piece requires major work, we’ll ask you to review and revise. This includes the use of colons, semi-colons, dashes, and ellipses. Please check out this article if you’re unsure of their usage.
When it comes to photos, less is more.
Although we’re a publication dedicated to the art of photography, we’re situated on a platform that features writing. We find that stories do better when there’s a balance between the images shared and the stories connected to them. There’s a sweet spot to achieve here, so include only the best few photos for each submission. Leave the reader wanting more, not less. Too many photos and readers tend to scroll fast — or worse — click away.
Your submission needs to be related to the Art of Photography.
This means your story must somehow pertain to the Art of Photography. It's fine to create a post with a few of your stunning vacation photos, but it must be yoked to an aspect of the Art of Photography. For a more detailed list of what we accept, click here to read our submission guidelines.
One of your topic tags needs to be “Full Frame”.
If this is missing, we’ll change one of them to that topic.
Format your story with the title at the top and the image below.
A subtitle can be added along with a kicker at the top. Here’s an excellent example to follow:

And last but not least — Here’s a list of stories we DO NOT accept:
— Stories in response to prompts initiated outside of Full Frame — Stories that sell or promote a book, blog, service, tool, or anything we deem a product — Stories that are sexist, racist, homophobic, or that negatively target individuals or organizations — Stories that are deemed offensive
We look forward to seeing your images and reading your stories!
Warmly, Rodrigo, Duvy, Gareth and kasey The Full Frame Editing Team
