Time to Make Peace with Your Circumstance
Make a battle lost, a battle won

Today my space got invaded by someone from the human kingdom. She came to my garden to pick some fruits. At first, I was a bit annoyed, given that I wanted the area all to myself so that I could write and daydream and commune with the birds and insects and feed off the energy of the large trees that complete the harmonious feel of the place. But not today — I was to have company.
I saw her coming through the gate and my first thought, after the feeling of annoyance was “perhaps, she will not stay long.” There were not many mangoes to be picked and the soursop and sugar apple fruits were too far up in the trees’ canopies for either of us to reach.
She sat right next to me on a seat that is normally reserved for the monkeys that come for their daily meal. She stretched out her legs and wiggled her toes in the soil. She was getting comfortable. I sighed, resigning myself to some company that I did not ask for.
She started getting a feel of the place as the energy emanating from the ground and the air, the plants and the shrubs, the insects and the birds, the stones and the trees, began working its magic on her.
She sighed. It was a sigh of satisfaction. She was really getting comfortable.
Then and there, I decided that I had two choices, either to ignore her — showing my displeasure at the intrusion, or use the time to commune with her and the One Consciousness in a beautiful meeting of our energy and spirit.
I decided against doing the human thing — at least not today.
I sat and I splayed my toes into the soil, I arched my back and turned my head just so, encouraging the cool breeze to tickle the side of my neck. I listened to the sound of the birds and the rustling of the leaves. I l heard her as she continued to sigh in pure bliss.
And I sighed right along with her.
