ARC OF THE IMMORTALS Book 2
Time Rifts 44 — Time/Mine — Fields
Trapped
TW: Accident, a Body/Spirit Violation

Recap TR43-Too Many, Too Much: Jac is diverted to the Lingam Egg by two Gypsums. They question him. Rasis claims Jac has god-like powers. Jac explains it is because of the Arc. He listens to their proposal.
Touzdae and Maia fit themselves with goggles to see the time bubbles. They jump Phorae to an observation lounge with them.
Twenty-four children run successively in waves through the main healing center. They leave keyboards, fragments of consoles coated in some material on the deck of the chamber. Touzdae wonders what the keyboards are…
The Arc is collapsing or dissipating, so says the Gypsums: Rasis and Ourus respectively. Jac agrees. He agrees to the Gypsums’ proposal after the successful completion of the demonstration. He gives his word.
He is jumped by a combination of his will and the will of the two Gypsums. Jac jumps to his Needlecraft where his Exo-suit assembles around him. Jumps to the starboard hangar, wink onto the bridge, and next to Touzdae in the main healing center.
Maia acts as a lens for Touzdae and Jac to identify their future son, daughter, and their duplicates. The duplicates disappear while Po and Majicoloure fade out.
Tommalar engages the hyperdrive while Suke asks about the function of the piles of parts. Jac/Touzdae beam their thoughts: To get out of the trap.
After ten parsecs Tommalar orders a full stop. All the time bubbles surround the ship.
Current Episode: The space tug, Atlantis-Sub-1 with the Griz Ack fragments on board struggled backward and forward. — The tug, embedded in different time eddies continued struggling. The second mate ran from the bridge down the ladder. He leapt through a large time sphere at the center of the tug. Moments later he emerged, old and decrepit near the escort tech. The second mate collapsed on the deck and crashed onto his knees. A scream of pain filled normal time as he passed out.
“We are moments from an incursion from these time bubbles,” Reypat the Executive Officer/Chief of the Ship said, alarmed.
Rasis turned to Ourus with an ePad. “Adjust the Y-Axis like so,” Rasis told him using his extraordinarily long index finger in a circular motion. Rasis put both his hands on the light-throbbing Lingam Egg.
The red alert alarm sounded. Tommalar ordered everyone into half-life chambers. Or into escape pods along the fuge’s central hub or at the rim.
A flash of light rebounded throughout the ship and the pressure increased within the Mu. As soon as everyone on board noticed the pressure their ears popped. The pressure decreased.
“Report,” Tommalar shouted. He added — “What was that?”
“The time bubbles are halted. But…” Reypat reported.
“But what?” Captain Tommalar barked.
“Time bubbles are attached to the hull surrounding the ship,” Reypat stated. He added, “Accessing impact on the hull, now.”
Atlantis-Sub-1, tug appeared within a giant time bubble in the sphere above the Lingam egg.
“What happened to Atlantis-Sub-2?” Ouros was aghast. “It’s not in the starboard sphere,” boarding on shock and outrage.
“Accessing,” Rasis responded.
All the parts deposited by the waves of 24 children were — in part — gone. Some of the parts were stuck to the top of the healing chamber. Jac, Touzdae, Maia, and Suke lost the ability to telepathically connect with one another, with the healers/seers, and with Tommalar.
The Atlantis Sub 2 tug drifted near the Mu-2 in the alternate dimension with five intact flash-frozen Griz-Acks. Two time bubbles existed inside the tug. The Alt-2 dimension was free of time bubbles. The Mu-2 spiraled upwards mirroring Mu-1’s movement away. Mu-2 duplicate remained tethered to the Mu-1 separated in different dimensions by microns. By microns in distance and phase variants.
“Since the time bubbles have attached to the hull thrusters and ion drives are functional. But the bubbles have created a network of dampening fields. This is inhibiting forward motion,” Reypat reported in Tommalar’s ear com.
“We are in the arc but not moving toward Terra-Earth, but — . But we have begun a slight spiral of one complete turn counterclockwise ventral downward toward a concentration of large rotating time spheres,” Ko-Ak Chief of the Navigators reported.
Jac, your turn to complete our agreement. Rasis and Ourus sent the thought.
Something doesn’t feel right. Jac read all their thoughts.
Oh, the second tug is not inside the starboard sphere. Your demonstration is flawed. Agreement broken. Jac sent his thoughts to the two Gypsums.
Rasis and Ourus looked at all the options. They nodded to each other.
Ourus entered Jac’s body. He forced Jac’s second chakra wide open. The force opened the third emergency bridge on the Mu-1.
Done, ready for transport. Ourus thought to Rasis.
They transported themselves, the Lingam Egg, and Jac to the Emergency Bridge.
