Time Rifts 35- Chaos in the Making
The Beginning of The End

Recap TR34 Touzdae Gone?: After 6 weeks Jac felt discouraged. Many leads/no results, Touzdae was not found. He thought to see the Touzdae duplicate that had stabbed him. It was as Captain Tommalar had said, she didn’t remember stabbing him.
Problems with the Faster-than-Light drive are discussed and the other thing: Reptoids. Avoiding the war-hungry Reptoids. Tommalar tells Forae about the losses and five “sequestered” individuals including one Antarian as prevention against transforming into the enemy.
Touzdae wakes up from spacetime benz and dies many times to have Jax bring her back each time. Jax tells her about the Griz Ack a genetically modified reptile warrior species that will attack. Touzdae calls out to the multiverse, to Jac, and her unborn children.
Jac sees the repeated image of the Lingam Egg. A young child who goes by different names calls out to Jac to save mafa as she/he runs passed Jac several times.
Current Episode
Trust, the thought came through to her.
The thought and the word hung in her mind for seconds. It seemed like an eternity. Touzdae slowed her heartbeat, her breath. Jax thought her dead. She blocked him from coming into her dreamtime. She knew something was coming, but did not know what it was.
Phorae and the Chief Engineer designed a new cooling system for the Faster than Light drive. Tommalar and his Executive Officer Reypat launched stealth probes and a number of communication satellites. Mission: Location of the Reptoid aggressors or the Griz Ack.
Jac transported himself inside the suit to the Lingam Egg. It was a seamless thought. He thought it and was transported there — suit and all. The Egg was dormant and looked to have reverted to stone. A word from a familiar voice hung in his mind:
Patience. He breathed into the experience of patience. He began the 24-breath exercise and extended it into the 33-breath exercise. At the end of the exercise, he fell asleep standing. The Smart Suit engaged downward thrust for the magnetic boots. He descended and they attached to the deck.
Jac entered dreamtime. It was a space of light. Brighter at the core, Jac thought. He walked in the clothes he had worn as a child in his 30s. How odd, but it feels nourishing, he thought.
Did you know that this arc has a name? A thinker reported as if talking to himself. Jac was listening as he walked across a nondescript territory. It is the Golden Arc. It is the ultimate in spacetime travel. The thinker anticipated Jac’s thoughts — questions milliseconds before formation. Made by Hannah, and designed by me. Implemented by Hannah.
I know you, Jac thought. It was a tentative thought.
I am glad you are beginning to remember. The thinker’s thoughts seemed unfinished. Jac felt there was something more. Because there is. With these flesh bodies, there will always be something more. Rarely is anything finished in this temporal world. The thinker thought and Jac was eavesdropping. More than eavesdropping. Remembering.
Remembering who you are. Right? Jac gave the thinker his thoughts.
“Yes,” the thinker spoke.
Jac sensed he was in a small room. His eyes adjusted to the bright light. He saw the man whose thoughts had appeared.
“Spirit Papa! Tu Mai!” Jac said.
“Good to see you.”
“You have something important to show me? Tell me?”
“Yes.” The tall man, Tu Mai, smiled and imparted the entire thoughtform into Jac’s being/mind.
Jac awoke. The suit had released the maglock and he was floating a little above the Lingam Egg. He came to himself filled with information and visions.
“How long have I been weightless?”
The suit responded with text along the bottom of his visor. It read:
18 hours.
“Activate audio.”
“Audio active.” The female voice of the suit said.
“How long have I been asleep?”
“You were never asleep,” the suit answered.
I have a download headache. Jac mused unaffected.
It’s too much, almost, Jac thought. He began to sort through the download.
Touzdae relieved to see Tu Mai, her body relaxed in toto.
Did you build this arc? Touzdae asked in thought.
Not exactly. It is my design. Hannah formed it. Past to Future from a home to a distant place in a distant future — Antares and the outer edge of your galaxy.
What? Touzdae regarded the man.
Soon.
Jax hovered over Touzdae’s body. Her life signs, slowed. He decided to go to his greenhouse for some vegetables and cook a meal.
Data was streaming to the bridge from the probes. Reypat and Tommalar were immersed in the data.
“I see it. Complex. Beautiful and Dangerous.” Jac’s mind filled with data.
Ready, Touzdae thought. I wonder if I can make a tiny arc like Hannah made. I’ll see it. It’s around me.
An intense beam of light pulled Touzdae up out of Jax’s luxury quarters. Or was Touzdae the beam and she pulled herself up on the way to her destination? Or was she the destination? Out of the starboard side of the ship, out into space, the beam arced. And down into the port side into the sphere. A quarter of the way through the sphere the light beam dissipated. She had forward motion. She felt weightless and something else. She fell into Jac’s arms, The suit applied thrust and they soft-landed on the deck.
Jac took off his helmet. They kissed in a soft embrace.
Jax came back with a basket filled with greens and vegetables. His chest itched. He unzipped his shirt and let out a gasp.
Scales had begun to form on his chest. He went to the environmental controls. The read-out flashed out its warning:
Six-foot diameter destabilization on the ceiling of the chamber. Unable to repair. Cause: Light beam.
Jax fell into a pool and thrashed. A reptilian tail appeared and disappeared in the water.
