Summary

"Arc of the Immortals Book 2: Time Rifts-25" follows Jac's and Touzdae's spiritual and physical journeys through a land of light, where they encounter various beings, face challenges, and experience profound connections beyond the physical realm.

Abstract

In "Time Rifts-25: Touzdae in a Land of Light," the second book of the "Arc of the Immortals" series, Jac and Touzdae navigate a mystical world filled with enigmatic guides, shape-shifting entities, and advanced technology. Jac, feeling violated by a gender-shifting being, seeks solace and guidance from a feline creature, leading to a meditation that transports him to his people. Meanwhile, Touzdae is guided by an unseen presence to a subterranean staircase, where she encounters a future version of herself and Jac. Their spirits intertwine in a realm of high vibration, transcending physical boundaries. The narrative unfolds with the characters experiencing surreal landscapes, engaging in telepathic communication, and confronting the complexities of identity and reality. As they progress, they face challenges with the ship's faster-than-light drive and encounter the mysterious Gypsums, rumored to be shapeshifters with a quest of their own. The chapter concludes with Touzdae and Hannah-Two discovering a gateway to another dimension, hinting at further adventures in the subsequent chapter, "Time Rifts-26: Two Struggles."

Opinions

  • Jac feels a deep spiritual disturbance, describing the encounter with the gender-shifting being as a form of rape.
  • The narrative suggests a sense of trust and companionship between Jac and the lioness-like creature that nurtures him.
  • Touzdae's guide, despite being a duplicate of Hannah, is portrayed as having her own consciousness and agency.
  • The story conveys a sense of awe and respect for the unknown, particularly in Touzdae's reaction to the light fountains and her subsequent spiritual journey.
  • The presence of the Gypsums introduces an element of mystery and raises questions about their true nature and intentions aboard the ship.
  • Captain Tommalar's casual mention of the Gypsums suggests a level of acceptance or indifference to their presence, contrasting with the curiosity and speculation of others.
  • The concept of identity is explored through the existence of duplicates and the possibility of peeling identities to create dark aspect duplicates.
  • The story emphasizes the importance of unconditional trust in the face of the unknown, as demonstrated by Touzdae's acceptance of the telepathic human's wordless thoughts.
  • The narrative implies that the characters' experiences in alternate realities have real-world temporal implications, as evidenced by the discrepancy between Touzdae's perceived time in the alternate dimension and the actual time elapsed in DKr. Malley's lab.
  • The mention of the "Llamas" as the source of answers suggests a layer of symbolism or allegory within the story, inviting readers to interpret the significance of this detail.

Recap TR-24: Entangled/Entwined: Jac feels spiritually raped by the being of shapeshifting genders. He rises slowly and is confronted by a cat/lioness. She snarls at him. He meditates. She jumps down, licks, and nuzzles him. He asks her to take him to his people.

Touzdae is transported to a grassy meadow and meets a guide whom she cannot see. But she recognizes her voice. The guide waves her hands and a hole in the ground appears with a descending spiral staircase. They go into it.

Jac finds Captain Tommalar, but he disappears. He finds himself in a sphere on a chair supported by a swing arm. There is instrumentation in front of him mounted to the chair. Through the viewer, he sees a future version of Touzdae and himself. Jac faints and falls into the netting below the chair. His team of soldiers are suspended around the chair in mid-air.

Meanwhile, Touzdae goes down into the ground about 20 feet. Her guide instructs her not to move when the light moves over her. Touzdae correctly identifies Hannah by her voice.

Jac is caught in the webbing — and slows himself to calmness by meditating. He leaves his body tethered by a rainbow streamer, leaves the huge Mu, space ship, and goes to the Well of Souls where a battle is raging. He looks within and feels Touzdae’s presence without her body.

Touzdae is soaked in a yellow light. She embraces Jac without his body. They embrace each other. Their spirits are entangled and entwined. They share love in a high vibration.

The current episode: Touzdae rolled down a small hillock in wild abandon. And laughing. The woman guide laughed too. Touzdae stood in the odd valley — as if a long arm had extended itself with an upturned palm. A small stream flowed through the grassy flat area. There was a woman meditating beneath a miniature tree.

The woman guide popped in beside Touzdae.

“You know who that is,” she said aloud.

Touzdae contemplated, eyes closed.

“Hannah!” Touzdae wondered; yawned. “But if she is Hannah, are you Hannah too?”

“Yes and no.” The woman guide smiled. I am an exact duplicate of her with my own mind. She is the original.”

“We must not disturb her,” Touzdae said.

“You are wise beyond your years.” Hannah-Two gestured to move on.

The clear tube slid open. Captain Tommalar stood there smiling.

“You’re not thee Captain Tommalar,” Jac said.

The man dissolved.

Jac rolled over to his stomach and chest. The deck plating was warm and oily. Miniature bolts of lightning crackled over his head. He slithered, not daring to crawl, about fifteen feet. He rolled over. A hatch slid open.

The lightning was gone. The space was dark. Small lights marked the perimeter along the deck. He climbed to his feet and hobbled through the open hatchway into the dark passage.

After twenty minutes he found his way to a more populated part of the ship. Two hours later he was in the Captain’s suite eating a hearty meal of fresh vegetables. The Captain paused at the entrance to the stateroom. He talked to someone in the main passageway.

“We’ve been having difficulty with the faster-than-light drive. My people are working on it,” Captain Tommalar returned.

Touzdae and Hannah-Two stood on a small hillock. There were twelve light fountains of various diameters, colors, and heights.

“Beautiful,” Hannah murmured.

“Yes and inspiring,” Touzdae was awe-struck.

“This is a good opportunity, sir,” the tech said to Kurtz.

“Explain.” Kurtz was abrupt, impatient.

“We’ve been monitoring — found DKr. Vishop Malley. He sent her into a high vibrational world. We can peel identities from her, and create dark aspect duplicates. She must pass through the tunnel to return to the alternate reality.”

“Can we pull her into the tunnel?”

“I’ll look into it.”

“Be quick. We don’t know how much longer her stay will last.”

Touzdae and Hannah-Two stood inches from a smaller purple light fountain. Touzdae’s spirit began to blend with the energy of the light.

She felt Jac, a strong presence, in her heart.

“Is there a gateway from this world into the dimension where Jac is?”

Hannah-Two turned and pointed into the sky. They moved away from the fountain. A small sphere big enough for two people descended from the clouds.

Your answers are with the Llamas. Hannah-Two offered her thoughts.

Up there? Touzdae asked in thought.

The sphere was quiet as it touched ground a few feet away. Touzdae approached looking for a door. The side of the craft dissolved.

The nature of his thought was complete and wordless. She accepted. She felt the bond of unconditional trust and climbed into the craft.

Jac finished the dinner. Tommalar joined him for dessert and a hot beverage.

“What can you tell me about the Gypsums?” Jac asked.

“Not much. I don’t know when they came on board. There aren’t many of them. Some say nine individuals some say six. They keep to themselves. Rumors have it that there is an egg they seek to activate. It may be on board, but maybe not. Few have seen them. The Entu Monks claim they are shapeshifters. And they may look like most of us when they change.

“They seem harmless. They have not caused any trouble on board that I know of. My intelligence operatives say they seem peaceful. They may act superior to most of us, and maybe they are, but no one knows for sure.

“Have you encountered them?” Tommalar concluded.

“I think so.” Jac replied. And he told him what he had observed.

Touzdae awoke in DKr. Malley’s lab.

“What happened? Did you pull me out?”

“I did not. You appeared after twenty minutes. And you have been asleep for eighteen hours.” Malley reported.

“Twenty minutes, eighteen hours?” Touzdae was in shock.

“What was your last memory of where you went?” DKr. Malley asked.

“I was in a sphere with a completed human with wordless telepathy sharing. We were ascending. Then nothing. Except a feeling of dread.” Touzdae lowered her head.
