Till The Apocalypse

A Poem of Eternal Love

Days reading into nights, With all the bloody battles won.

Will love you forever, Till the apocalypse is done.

Day zero altered the future, The undead started roaming.

Festive's end as Time was ruptured, We were all exiled in Wyoming.

Once the beautiful view, from the mountains.

Now show the horrors, Roamers have done.

Will still love you. Till the apocalypse is done.

Food and water, Will run out soon.

Have to find more supplies, Return before the next new moon.

Promise I will return, Even on the first day, Drained from the heat of the sun.

Baby, I will love you forever, Even in this pain, Till the apocalypse is done.

On day two, Hope began to fade into dust.

Out of nowhere, Two roamers ambushed us.

We fought back, But lost one of us.

Dark night arrives, The pain grows from the cuts.

Finding some hope as the night ends, From the light of the sun.

You will still be my girl, Even in my last breath, Till the apocalypse is done.

In a post-apocalyptic world where zombies are roaming around freely, humans are struggling with basic needs in a refugee camp. The narrator has to leave his love behind and go look for food and water with his crew and take the risk of encouraging zombies.
