Tiana’s Secret Life (Part One)
She came from nothing, surrounded by people that didn’t care…
This drabble (100-word story) is a response to Crush Hundo Edition’s word prompt. Today’s word is RESILIENCE.
Tiana’s resilience was staggering. She grew up with nothing, surrounded by people that didn’t care. But she still managed to be the first person in her family to obtain a college degree.
She was tough.
By day she helped the needy and downtrodden as a public defender. And by night she helped the very same people, but in a different way.
At night, she protected her clients from drug dealers and gun runners, and all sorts of nefarious characters. It wasn’t easy. But it was worth it. She loved her city, and she felt obligated to take care of it.
This 19th drabble is written as part of the “100 Story Challenge” by @Zane Dickens.
