Bob’s life was finally complete…

This drabble (100-word story) is a response to Making Your Characters Squirm! (Idea 6), written by JF Danskin at The Fiction Writer’s Den.

Bob clung to his duffle bag with every bit of strength he possessed.

The lottery commission’s check just cleared, and he was headed home from the bank. His only dream in life was to hold one-million dollars cold hard cash in his hands.

Bob demanded the Uber driver go faster.

He caressed his bag. Now that he had it, the only thing on his mind was where to hide it.

Bob tossed the driver a one-hundred dollar tip, hopped out and immediately tripped on the sidewalk.

God I’m rich, were Bob’s last thoughts as the lights went out.

This 17th drabble is written as part of the “100 Story Challenge” by @Zane Dickens.
