ANTI-BLACK RACISM
This White Man Told A Black Man He Belonged in A Cotton Field
So there’s this interesting video when a white city councilman from Warner Robins, Georgia name John Williams made some anti-Black racist remarks towards a Black man named Daron Lee, whose another councilman from the area.
Now, this dude clearly overtly expressed his anti-Black racism.
Now I know a lot of Black folks are thinking to themselves: If it was me, I would have knocked him into next week.
I would assume this brother thought of actually doing that to this suspected white supremacist, but he knew it wasn’t the correct setting to do that.
Also, notice the arrogance of John Williams. Not only did he not feel sorry nor did he feel the need to apologize to Daron Lee for his racist remarks towards him, but he instead felt that he was owed an apology.
Basically, this suspected white supremacist pulled a gaslighting maneuver and the classic “I’m white and I say so” tactic.
In my opinion, I think Mr. Darin Lee handled the situation well during that moment. It was the smart thing to do because if he had put his hands on him, all it would have done is put him in jail and a lawsuit would be waiting on him.
But I’m curious to see how you guys think. Do you think he handled it well? If you were in this situation, what would you have done?
