This Week’s Prompt: 14–20.09
All things love.

Good morning/afternoon/evening, now and forever!
A wise woman once said: “Don’t hide in spiritual circles.” This woman is Desiree and I am grateful to have come across her words. Her encouragement to begin addressing to a larger audience was a game changer.
In one of her recent articles, Ravyne described Know Thyself as a Zen garden. A small, intimate publication that welcomes all. My heart filled with joy when I read the description. This is exactly how I wish Know Thyself to be perceived. Remember the movie “Lilo and Stich?” At some point, Stich reminds Lilo’s sister what ‘Ohana’ stands for: “Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind.”
Furthermore, in Africa, there is a concept known as “Ubuntu”, which means “I am because we are.” We are connected…What we do affects the whole world. This is what Know Thyself is about.
However, that is what many other publications on Medium are about as well. I encourage you to explore and not limit yourself to one alone. Spread your wings wide and touch as many hearts as possible!
But before you do, please remember that us, writers, send out a massive amount of energy to the rest of the world, through our words. Our choice of words and the state of mind we’re in when we are writing, affects how our messages are perceived and absorbed. Before submitting an article or clicking the ‘publish’ button, we should always ask ourselves: Are we writing from a place of love? A place of compassion? Understanding? Empowerment?
As you know, we have a new tab on the publication dedicated to LOVE. Love in all its shapes and forms. That is why, through this prompt, I am hoping we can celebrate love together!
Write about love, with love! Share the love! Spread it! That is all I am going to say. Be as creative as possible! There is no right or wrong, there just is.
Please remember to use the tag “lovethyself” so that the story will show under the new tab.
Besides, if you need inspiration or you’ve run out of insightful books to read, here’s an enlightening one that I’ve devoured in less than 3 days and perfectly fits in with this week’s prompt:
I resonate with a lot of what Dr. Barbara De Angelis preaches and have been watching her on Youtube for a while. Both in her online seminars and books, she reinforces the fact that love arises within ourselves. She also presents a simple technique that we can all apply during challenging moments by asking ourselves: “What’s happening in me? What am I choosing in this moment? Is there a more loving choice? How can I bring more love to this situation?”
I’ve been using these questions as a means to ground myself during turbulent times within my household. Instead of fueling the fire by contributing with more anger during arguments, I am now choosing to take a deep breath, quietly ask myself these questions and try my best to come from a place of love.
Responding not reacting…
Anahata meditations have also helped me immensely in terms of opening my heart chakra. Oh the bliss of having a heart filled with love that you can share with the world! It is magical. It is orgasmic.
