This Simple 30-Minute Morning Routine Will Change Your Life!
It has already changed my life and feels like a cheat code.
Do you struggle to get going in the morning? I feel you. I have been there.
I would wake up and take ages before I managed to be productive. I simply used to feel way too tired and couldn’t motivate myself or concentrate to start working.
Most of the time it was only the second coffee that gave me the kick in the ass I needed.
Luckily, I found a few little things that made a huge difference and increased my productivity in the morning.
A good start to the day is often enough to determine whether we win the day or not.
Win the morning, win the day
1. Drinking Two Glasses Of Water
Although I am usually not thirsty after waking up, I force myself to drink two glasses of water. After that, I mostly feel better already.
This is because we are usually dehydrated in the morning.
Dehydration leads to symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, fatigue, aching extremities, and difficulty concentrating. All of these things make it incredibly hard to start your day off successfully.
2. Going For A Walk
After I drink my water, I try to get out and move around a bit.
A 10-minute walk can be enough. Alternatively, it is recommended to go to work by bike, for example.
This exercise in the fresh air has several advantages. For one, it gets our circulation going, which makes us more alert. In addition, the movement itself and the sunlight make us more alert. After I have done this, I am usually very awake and ready to do some work.
It is also recommended to take a walk later in the day, as this enhances creativity according to a Stanford study.
The overwhelming majority of the participants in these three experiments were more creative while walking than sitting, the study found. In one of those experiments, participants were tested indoors — first while sitting, then while walking on a treadmill. The creative output increased by an average of 60 percent when the person was walking, according to the study.
3. Writing Down 3 Things I Am Grateful For
When I get back from my walk, I take 2 minutes and write down 3 things I am grateful for.
This habit puts me in a good mental state for the day. I focus on the positive and start the day with gratitude.
In recent years, numerous studies have shown that counting your blessings makes you happier, less prone to depression, and even healthier.
