This Quote From Seneca Explains Why You Can’t Get Ahead In Life
“Anything inborn or ingrained in one can by dint of practice be allayed, but not overcome.” Seneca
I have never had strong goals, I just let life roll me along. Now that I’ve gotten to a point where I want to make a change I’m fighting against momentum. Not just the momentum of life itself, but my thoughts and habits too.
We all have weaknesses and shortcomings. Some of us are even aware of these flaws. That is good, humility and self-awareness are necessary for life.
Improving our weaknesses is much harder. Because they are part of who we are.
If you have something you’re trying to overcome, you won’t. But that’s okay.
Just by trying to fix our problems, we become better people.
You can’t be perfect, just be better.
