Ever wonder what sets successful writers apart from the rest? It’s not just about talent or creativity or a certain skill.

And it’s not luck either.

The magic potion of a successful writer is called:

Confidence

It’s when you know (not believe) you can handle whatever outcome of the situation you face.

Think about it. Take some time to read articles from other successful writers. Look for patterns. How do they express their ideas? Confidently. They declare themselves. They are certain of what they say.

You can’t see words like “I think”, “in my opinion”, “probably” or anything that brings even a slight spark of uncertainty.

They write unequivocally.

The definition of luck

In psychology, there’s something called “the confidence-luck cycle”.

Confidence initiates action, action leads to success, and success fuels confidence.

It’s a vicious circle that transforms success into a habit.

The placebo effect

Works the same way. You believe that it works, which fuels your confidence, and makes you take actions that eventually lead you to success.

A talisman for success…

…is the same thing! You have something that pumps up your confidence, which simply makes you take the right actions.

How do you become confident?

Take action.

• Write consistently. Make progress. It fuels your motivation.
• Learn. Stay on top of trends. Gives you a feeling of control.
• Read other writers. Use them as references. Keeps you ahead of the competition.
