Remember that this is your business, writing, and doing it well includes doing it correctly. In everything in life there are rules and here is no exception.
When we buy electronic equipment, for example, it is always recommended to read the instruction manual.

Let’s be natural and keep our rules.
Well, here I share a little of what you can find in Member Content Guidelines and the Medium Rules.
Read as much as you can about how does Medium work
What should you never do on Medium so that your account is not suspended?
Respect other people’s content: If you’re copying a line or paragraph, be sure to include the link from that post. No plagiarism, no content or photographs. That is legally penalized.
In relation to images, use images from sites for example Unsplash, Pixabay, etc … or create your own through Canva, PicMonkey, or Fotojet. To name a few.
Do not write against anyone: Yes, even if you think you’re right, even if you know you have the proof, but you don’t alter a single word in your Medium stories. Take Medium as your business and all your Medium stories as a product.
Our mission here is to share information that is of value and that serves as inspiration for the personal improvement of all those who are part of this eco-system of the Medium community.
Add external links: If you are adding external links to your Medium article, go to that link and analyze it. If the site uses something that contains spam, don’t add it. I added videos in my blog post where pay per click ads was appearing. I removed them because I think that might be the problem.
Violations of Medium rules may result in consequences such as account restrictions, limited distribution of your posts, and suspension of your account.
Medium does not allow:
Threats of violence and incitement
Hate speech
Harassment
Promotion of harmful conspiracies
Facilitation of gambling or betting
Facilitation of buying or selling social media interactions, including off-platform
Facilitation of illegal sexual services
Facilitation of copyright violation
Medium does not allow spam.
All spam will be immediately removed from Medium, without notification.

We certainly don’t want to be remembered like that.
Or worse … we have to remember that our mistake cost us all the effort and time invested.
It is said that: “You learn from mistakes” but the more we can avoid them, the better for us.
Even though Steve McConnell doesn’t think like me, when he said:
“Trying to avoid mistakes is the biggest mistake of all.”

After avoiding them does not lead you to not try to do things.

You can achieve everything you set your mind to in life. If your interest is to be successful as a writer on Medium, you just have to take the first step and continue working to achieve it.
What you have not reached is because you still continue fighting for it in the right way; what did you decide surrender; or because for whatever reason you are not in the willingness to invest the energy needed to do so reality.
Many have achieved success, the question is:
Why not you?
Don’t stop dreaming, and enjoy every step you take towards your goal.
