This Is How You Shine Light On Your Uninspiring Shadow Part
It all started with my inspired part wanting to share inspirational videos Part 2
In the following articles:
I shared how I timed my writing to 15 minutes, in order to learn a new habit of batching and writing.
I explained how my different parts work together sometimes and oppose each other.
The Time Valuer and the Technology Appreciator parts of me worked together and created two Draft Articles in fifteen minutes instead of the three that I intended. Even though I surpassed the self-imposed time limit, I realized that I gained momentum to write. I continued and completed writing three Draft Articles in 45 minutes.
Thereafter, I stopped writing and decided to revisit all three Draft articles, edit, add images and Tags, and publish later. As promised in my article titled “It Is OK To Be Stuck In A Fixed Mindset. Magic Happens When You Become Aware And Take These Specific Steps”, I am sharing three Youtube Shorts that The inspired and giving part of me wanted to share with my audience immediately.
I invite you to just spend three minutes, watch, learn and implement whatever is applicable and meaningful to you:
Avoid important decisions at the end of the day
The thing that you think disqualifies you, makes you successful
Here is what I learned about my thoughts, emotions, and behavior during my journey to just batch and write just three Draft articles in one day and publish them in three consecutive days:
- Participating in Ann Venkataraman 30 Day writing challenge in April, 2023, made me realize the aspects of writing that I liked and the aspects that I did not enjoy.
- I became aware that I didn’t enjoy batching and writing.
- I also realized that batching is something I must learn in order to keep my writing momentum and conquer writer’s block.
- Coaching myself and others helped me know and learn about different parts within me, such as the Inspired and Giver Part, Strategic Part, Time Valuer Part, Curious Learner Part, and Technology Appreciator Part.
- I was compassionate with my momentary strategic shadow part ( that acted like a Vehicle Brake) when the Inspired light part ( that acted like Gas Pedal) wanted to share the motivational YouTube shorts immediately with my audience.
- I realized that there was a Curious Learner part which wanted to learn batching and writing.
- I called the Time valuer part in me to just write for 15 minutes without judging my writing.
All these parts collaborated with each other and finally
Gave me the confidence to Batch and write and share the inspiring and valuable Youtube Shorts with my audience, strategically through my articles in the future. Thank you for being a part of my learning and Habit builder journey.
Now it is your turn!
How do you learn something that is beneficial but you don’t have an intrinsic desire?
Tagging for thanking Ann Venkataraman, Shameem Anwar and Molly Miller for sharing your responses in Part 1 and 2 of this series.
