The story behind making $20 from a single article
On 11th October, I published a story to help Medium writers gain 10 to 15 extra views per day. And it suddenly went viral and started receiving a good amount of views.
But after some days it started dying and then died, slowly and gradually after two weeks. But in those two weeks, it completed all the goals that I had settled for October and even surpassed many of them like earnings, views, followers, etc.
This story gave me many things, but I was not happy when it died. I did not give up and tried making it viral again because I was seeing potential in it. I saw it as a problem-solving story because it’s solving a new writer’s lack of views problem. And it’s also helpful for the settled writers to receive some extra views from their old stories.
So I forced it to go viral again. I tried promoting it in many of my stories and successfully made it viral again.
After 19 days of its death, it started getting viral again, And still getting a good amount of views and making some good money.
But today, it has completed its $20 mark. I am very glad to see this because none of my stories have ever passed the $10 mark. And I hope it will exceed the $30 mark and then $50 and then $100 because it’s a problem-solving and helpful story.
