This Economic Plan Has Ruined Me
An Open Letter to the President

Dear Mr. President,
You’ve ruined me. You’ve broken me.
I spent years of my life working hard to make sure that the few million dollars my parents started me off with could turn investments and political donations into residual income and capital gains. I’ve lined the pockets of plenty of politicians, and I never thought the day would come when the government would take cash I earned from underpaying and underproviding for the people who keep my companies running.
I was living moderately with my annual income of $101B. I had 5 houses, 2 private jets, and 3 yachts. It wasn’t much, but it was a sign of my worth, and the value of my contribution to society.
Since this Green New Deal nonsense, and the capital theft of the Ultra-Millionaire tax to pay for all that “infrastructure,” I’ve lost almost $3B a year. I’ve had to downsize to 2 houses, 1 jet, and 1 yacht. It’s criminal.
And what did I get out of it? Clean air? Clean water? So what? I could have paid for that before all this. I already had the best internet, healthcare, and travel arrangements — what use do I have for a highspeed rail or bridges?
This whole plan has been a sham from the get-go, and I’m sick of my money being stolen to pay for the greater good. I’m the greater good. I make jobs and put food on people’s tables. Would I have given my employees a decent pay and access to healthcare without you forcing me to sell my prized assets? I guess we’ll never know.
I implore you to put a halt on these economic practices and urge congress to draft legislation repairing the damages you’ve caused to the wealthy-class.
In all seriousness, society is at a point where we can hold the wealthy accountable and force contributions for their share of community uplift and environmental reparation, or we could continue to spiral down an untenable path of destruction where the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the functionality of society and the environment deteriorate to complete chaos. This sort of class dynamics cannot go on.
