Think You are Bad at Writing? My Old Poems are Worse.
I cannot believe I published them!
Have you ever thought that your writing sucks? I think this all the time. We need to use this as motivation to grow our skills as writers. We should not accept that we are just horrible at writing.
While on Facebook earlier today, I saw a post I made over 10 years ago. I was worried about doing badly on my state’s high school standardized testing. I said I was worried about how I would do on the writing portion of the test. School had me believing that I was a horrible writer. I did pass the exam though, so my worries were pretty much for nothing.
This got me thinking about how my writing has changed over the years. Unfortunately, I do not have much of my writing from high school. What I do have is poetry I wrote several years ago. So, I am going to give you a good laugh.
First, take a moment to read a few of my poems if you haven’t already. Awake Without You is my highest-earning poem. A Flower Blooms is my most read poem and is not metered. Now that you have read some of my recent work, let me show you a few of the poems I have published in a book on amazon. Do not buy the book. It is not worth it! I will add all of the poems on here if anyone actually wants to read them for a good laugh!
A large amount of pens Dancing on a desk You try to grab them The pens get sad They start to cry No pens today Too many collars They dance over to the desk You try to give them money They turn into feathers The feathers wept and hid Not a feather in reach

I require bacon at night A signal of light in the dusk Salt and fats Six dozen eggs Next step! The calf The entire thing But not to eat They are better off I used them as home décor.
Soda pop and owls Bushes and rags Jeans and swings Tops and fans So many things around Stones and games Paints and limp noodles Doors and fresh papers I think I am a hoarder
In a paper published Seriously we view the body Some money is carefully concealed You will not know what they speak in China However, it is available with good recognition Keep in mind when you place your order in terms of brain We find also on the condition of the grain easily and condition of the agreement But the truth is, what a great year Ringlet is
That is more than enough to get the picture. I wrote these. I knew they were bad. I still somehow thought it would be a great idea to put them into a book and hope someone would pay for it. Improvement is definitely possible! But, we should all have the blind passion and enthusiasm that I had while putting that book onto the kindle shop.
These poems were previously published in “Umm… WHAT??”. Please, if you want to read them, do not buy the book. I can just send you the manuscript if you are that interested. I published 3 of these horrendous books. I am sorry.
