You decide to exercise caution for now and avoid investigating the strange building until daylight.
Instead, you manage to use some branches from nearby trees, your cloak, and a few other items from your pack to make a rudimentary shelter yourself.
It’s not much, but it’ll do for tonight.
You settle down, happy that you’re at least mostly sheltered from the elements.
However, when you hear howling and the snapping of twigs, you realise that this may not have been the safe option after all.
As the sounds begin to draw closer, you realise you have a decision to make.
