The author expresses a strong dislike for many behaviors commonly associated with extroverted individuals, emphasizing the value of solitude, self-reflection, and independent thinking.

Abstract

The article titled "Things I Hate About Extroverted People" reflects the author's unapologetic introversion and critique of extroverted behavior. The author, who identifies as @proudintrovert on Medium, believes that individuality and self-awareness are paramount and credits introverts for significant societal progress due to their ability to focus and solve problems internally. In contrast, the author views most extroverts as individuals who succumb to herd mentality, lack moral courage, and waste time on small talk and unnecessary social interactions. The article argues that extroverts often fail to respect personal space and undervalue the importance of time, suggesting that they are driven by a need to belong and a desire for constant stimulation from others. The author emphasizes that time is a non-renewable resource and condemns what they perceive as the extroverted tendency to squander it on superficial activities and relationships.

Opinions

  • The author believes that introverts are responsible for many of the world's greatest tools and inventions due to their capacity for introspection and focused thought.

  • Small talk is seen as an annoying and pointless use of time, contributing to the author's frustration with extroverted behavior.
  • The author perceives extroverts as having an inability to respect personal boundaries and an excessive desire to be included in every aspect of others' lives.
  • Time is considered the most valuable asset by the author, who accuses extroverts of not appreciating its importance and wasting it on trivial social engagements.
  • The article suggests that extroverts may be "energy parasites," feeding off the energy of others by demanding their time and presence.
  • Despite the critical tone, the author acknowledges that not all extroverts exhibit these negative behaviors, but a significant number do.

Things I Hate About Extroverted People

Not all of but most of them are annoying as hell

I am unapologetically introverted.

My username on Medium is @proudintrovert.

I do not feel sorry, nor will I ever be encumbered by other people's feelings.

Individuality, I believe, is the most important aspect of life.

To give of oneself, ONESELF is the most outstanding achievement that one can ever accomplish.

“Know Thyself!”

It is because of introverts — people who can SIT STILL and listen to their inner voice and get to know themselves 100% — that has led to so many of today's greatest tools and inventions being created.

It is because of minds that can STAY FOCUSED on a task and on a mission that has led to progress in society.

From political progress to medicinal progress to societal progress.

The individuals, the introverts, the people who can and do listen to their inner voices are the ones who push society forward.

Because while extroverts sit and complain TOGETHER about an issue or over an issue, introverts sit there and try and find a solution to their issue.

These are a few things that I HATE about extroverted people.

Introverts, listen…

We NEED not feel bad for not wanting to spend time with people who add no value to our lives.

Time is all we have, and wasting it on doing STUPID SHIT like having small talk, getting drunk at a bar (again, just losing and wasting time and NOT even remembering what you did), or just sitting in a group LOOKING AT YOUR PHONE is stupid.

I do not care!

Time is ALL we have, and damn if I’m going to waste it on people who don't value their own time or life.

Things I Hate About Extroverted People: Not All Of You But MOST Of You

Everyone Is Doing It (The Sheep/Herd Mentality)

Photo by Judith Prins on Unsplash

Extroverts live unapologetically as the herd has demanded them to live.

Extroverts: “Everyone else is doing it!”

Me: “What are you, FIVE? Who cares what others are doing. If everyone else was jumping off a cliff, would you do it as well?”

Three seconds of silence:………………….

Extroverts: “Where are they jumping off at?”

Me: Slowly getting an aneurysm.

Extroverts, not all, but most, to me, seem to be SHEEP! They cannot think for themselves and constantly need stimulus from others.

They think what others think.

Do what others do.

And will be what others are being.

And then, at the end of the day, they think they are all special for having the SAME mindset.

What world am I living in?

WHAT MADNESS IS THIS?

Extroverts Morality Is Suspect: They Are Moral Cowards

Photo by BP Miller on Unsplash

This is legit how I view extroverts.

I find that extroverts' morality is capricious as all hell.

They can be good, but only if everyone else is good.

They can be bad, but only if everyone else is bad.

And people like this are the ones who are so easily led to do the most nefarious of things.

Because most extroverts, not all extroverts, DO NOT KNOW HOW TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES, they will easily rally behind mob mentality.

These people’s morals are so malleable, and because of that, I view them more as evil than good.

And solely on the basis of them just doing what others are doing.

Moral courage is doing what is right even when everyone around you is doing wrong, and extroverts, to me, are moral cowards.

They will never stand up for what is right but will sit there like the kidults they are waiting for someone else to speak up so they can THEN speak up and follow as well.

Extroverts are MORAL COWARDS!

Can't Sit Still & Be Quiet For More Than 5 Minutes (Small Talk Is Annoying)

Photo by Priscilla Du Preez on Unsplash

Extroverts: “So, ah! How’s the weather today?”

Me: “Wha-What? You just came in from outdoors. You should know!”

Extroverts: “Just making small talk. So, ah! How’s that breathing going for you? Do you like that oxygen we all breathe?”

Me: “Wha-What?

Extroverts: “Yeah, I find that when I breathe, I can live longer. How about you?”

Me: Slowly getting an aneurysm.

I swear to the almighty in the unknown, why, for the love of all that is holy, MUST YOU START SMALL TALK THAT LEADS NOWHERE.

Just rambling on about NONSENSE.

Why?

Why?

Why must you waste time?

All you do is waste time.

Jeezus freaking christ, it is like these people think not talking every damn second of every damn minute of every damn hour ABOUT NONSENSE will somehow make them not exist.

There is much to learn if you stay silent for more than 6 seconds.

I don't understand why they must always start up conversations that will lead NOWHERE.

Can't Respect Personal Space: I Want To Belong

Photo by Kevin Butz on Unsplash

I truly think if these people can all go poo at the same time, on the same toilet, THEY WOULD!

Extroverts: “Everyone else is doing it, and I just want to belong.”

I have worked many jobs with these entitled kidult extroverts, and damn if they do not invade your personal space.

Extroverts: “Where ya’ going?”

Me: “Excuse me?”

Extroverts: “Where ya’ going?”

Me: “To the bathroom.”

Extroverts: “Can I come with you?”

Me: “C-can you come with me? Bob! Y-you know where the bathroom is.”

Extroverts: “Yeah, but we can use the bathroom together. Can you hold my hand as we go to the bathroom?

Me: In my mind (WHAT IS THIS MADNESS? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?)

You HAVE TO Spend Time With Us

Photo by Aron Visuals on Unsplash

Lastly, the most annoying thing about Extroverts is their INABILITY to see how valuable time is.

JEEZUS CHRIST!

To be so blind to this should be a CRIME.

They do not see their own time as valuable and thus cannot respect the time of others.

Extroverts: “You need to spend time with us and have small talk, and get drunk with us, and not remember what we did the night before, and waste it on meeting people who will not have a LONGSTAY in your life or even memory. And you have to do this because it's all about energy and community. Now come hang out with us…umm…what was your name again?

These clowns, and yes, for this reason, I call them clowns because of how silly they are, do not appreciate time.

TIME IS ALL WE HAVE.

You cannot get back a day, an hour, a minute.

Yet, to these idiots, they grossly overlook how important time is.

They will want to hang out, and for the time you are there, all they will do is look at their phones.

What is the point of being in each other's presence then?

I think for them, it is because they are energy parasites.

So they feed on people's energy and do this by taking their time.

STOP WASTING MY TIME, YOU ASSHOLES!!!

Note: Not all extroverts are like this, but DAMN, if a good chunk of you aren’t. Try thinking for yourself, SHEEP; you will find that it isn't that difficult.
