Kidults: 5 Clear Signs That You Are Dealing With Grown Children
We have all met them at some point in our life, these narcissistic kidults who believe the world revolves around them.

For mature and rational people, when we meet these kidults, we often overlook all the signs that they BLATANTLY exhibit because we constantly give them the benefit of the doubt.
“Hmmm. Maybe I am just overthinking things here. They aren't really throwing themselves on the floor here with a temper tantrum. Maybe they just had a bad day.” — Says every Mature Adult
See, what causes many people to stay with these narcissistic kidults for so long is that we believe because WE REASON and have GROWN UP, that other people reason and grow up.
Boy!
How far from the rails is this train of thinking.
In this article, I want to explain what a kidult is, what signs they exhibit, and why you need to learn how to detach yourself from their childish, immature, and irrational way of thinking and perceiving the world.
Some people never grow up.
Well, let me be honest, MOST PEOPLE NEVER GROW UP!
What Is A Kidult?
A kidult is a portmanteau that takes the words, kids, and adults, to create kidults.
Kidults are people who are legally adults and who look like adults but behave like kids.
These people never want to grow up, and who have this Peter Pan complex (with narcissists, it is called the Eternal Child, which is a good name for them).
They get away with a lot of BS simply because mature and rational people can never fathom thinking the way that they do.
Understand this, being mature, rational, and a PROUD ADULT is NOT…I REPEAT…IS NOT THE NORM.
The world is full of immature, entitled kidults and once you understand what signs to look out for, you will better save yourself from their irrational actions and clingy neediness.
What Are The Signs That Someone Is A Kidult
1 — Irresponsible
I don’t know what it is about these people (kidults), but they fear responsibility like a rabbit fears a wolf.
Responsibility to them is like a death sentence.
“Why did you get this girl pregnant?”
“I didn’t mean to.” (looking down, while twisting their little footsie)
“Why didn’t you wear a condom?”
“Why didn’t she stay on her pills?”
This blameshifting is not uncommon with these kidults. Whenever they get caught doing something wrong, they IMMEDIATELY look for how to blame someone else.
They are such cowards.
Much like a child who is scared of getting caught red-handed, so too are these kidults scared of getting their heads caught in the cookie jar.
2 — Wants Others To Provide For Them
These people want…NO…need others to provide for them. They are the shameless girls who want her “man” to buy her all the fancy things in life because “she is a princess.”
She has no problem living off the government, b*tching and complaining to her partner when he works to give her the lifestyle that she wants and is the type of woman who is clingy as all hell.
This is the type of guy who has no problem having his girl be the breadwinner, while all he does is bum around on the couch all day, saying, “how tough it is to get a job (while not actively looking for a job).
Because they are irresponsible, they NEED others to provide for them and take care of them because they just never learned how to do that on their own.
A great example of a kidult!
LMFAO! “How bout 25?”
3 — Emotionally Unstable
Perhaps one of the most significant caveats of being an adult is our ability to MANAGE OUR EMOTIONS.
We understand that the world does not revolve around us and that the world is not a friendly place.
We understand that no one owes us anything.
But kidults…
Boy, oh boy.
When these people do not get what they want, they can go into a temper tantrum, rolling on the floor and all.
These people lack any emotional intelligence, and they act more than they think.
It is not uncommon to see a guy yell and scream.
He thinks he is acting tough in his kidult mind, not realizing how much of a child he looks like. It’s not uncommon to see a girl do her silent treatment, thinking she punishes adult guys by not talking.
This is equivalent to a child holding their breath; sooner or later, they will stop it because THEY NEED to breathe.
These people lack emotional intelligence, and because they think we need to be their provider, they also believe we must regulate their feelings.
WE DO NOT!
4 — Massively Jealous

These people are massively jealous.
If they have a dollar and someone has a dollar and a…PENNY, oh my god, the injustice.
These people are a joke.
They envy everyone who looks better than them, is more intelligent than them, is in better shape, and has a better life than them.
In their kidult minds, because they are irresponsible, think others need to provide for them, are emotionally unhinged — they cannot wrap their small minds around building up their own lives.
So, because they cannot do that, they think the only way to make things right is to destroy the lives of others.
“If I can’t have it, then NO ONE CAN.” — Says every kidult narcissist
5 — Is Petty As Hell
Say “no” to these people — heck, don’t even say “no,” say “I am a bit busy right now and can’t help you at the moment,” and BAM…they are plotting how they will destroy your life.
Because they are so entitled, the act of someone saying “no” and denying them something is a great insult to them.
Their lack of emotional regulation is what leads to them being so petty.
How To Deal With These Kidults
Simple.
Be the adult.
You must STOP looking at these people as if they are your “mature equal” because heaven knows that they aren’t.
You have to start looking at them as if they are just children. Never take anything they do seriously.
Understand that they look like adults but deep down are still kids.
Just like pineapple LOOKS like it tastes good on pizza doesn’t make pineapple on pizza taste good.
Looks can be very deceiving.
And with that said, an extra sign of a kidult is someone who thinks pineapple goes on pizza.
They have abysmal taste in life.
I am just kidding…not really.
If you are dealing with a kidult, the best thing is to give them as LITTLE energy as possible.
Much like a kid who throws a temper tantrum usually tires themselves out, so too will these kidults tire themselves out when you give them NO ENERGY.
