There’s Something to Be Said for Spit in Your Head
Saliva is good for you

This story’s true will kill your blues not a ruse
stress messes with your mouth cortisol makes dry why saliva disappears in fears and tears tongue sticks to palate forget about the ballot
uncleft bereft you wonder torn asunder why you can’t express impress digest
when your life is in the crapper what you really need’s a rapper to teach a life lesson it’s a blessing to confess congested feelings reeling stealing your saliva not the driver why dry humor is a rumor I’m a baby boomer
when mouth goes south like a dune in the Sahara no oasis words in stasis not a drop of spit her sanity how far can she stretch it before she starts to dry retch try fetch spittle from those little hey, clap your hands for those salivary glands
may not whet your appetite but’ll put a damper on your fright with a pint or two of mighty spitting ‘lectrolytes kill bacteria swirl it around and drown that fear yeah
If you can dribble, hey, no quibble Got no stress, then ride the crest
But when your mouth is sorely parched You gotta rise, climb up and march Let your chapped lips glisten listen to my dissing panic and anxiety every known variety no impropriety open society
take the chance time to dance feel that rhythm glands are with ’em swirl and whirl
your tongue in cheeks don’t sweat it let your humor peak while stress hormones drown and freak adrenaline norepinephrine flee in fright no more darkness only light
are you ready psyche steady
salivate don’t hesitate now salivate stress disavow c’mon salivate hit it spit it salivate celebrate your fate now salivate slow down heart rate salivate one two three four five six seven eight salivate forget your weight salivate never too late to salivate
