There’s Something I Need to Tell You
I haven’t brushed my teeth all week
They met on a rooftop. He was funny, the life of the party, and she was instantly drawn to him.
They had an electric connection and moved fast.
“Babe? I’m getting worried,” she said on her third voicemail that day. “We’re leaving tomorrow and I haven’t talked to you in days!”
“Not sure what to tell you,” he finally replied. “Let’s just be friends”.
“Friends who sleep together at couples’ resorts?”
He sighed, then said, “there’s something I need to tell you”.
She braced herself.
“I haven’t brushed my teeth all week,” he said.
“Gross. And?”
“You met me manic.”
